Penumbra

This was my Degree show work, an installation titled Penumbra (June 2011) 2m x 1.5m

This work explores texture, surface and form found in the world around us. My work expresses beauty, ambiguity and delicacy of these surfaces through the use of texture in pâte de verre.

Made using the technique pâte de verre for all 12 pieces. All pieces vary in size, but they are approx. 20/25cm x 12/15cm  and depth.5cm. The size of the installation itself

Feather

Using light that passes through natural forms and observing the shadows that are created, to produce an abstract interpretation such as ‘Feather’.

Falling into Infinity

Inspired by falling feathers and created using a 3D modelling programme, cut on a industrial water-jet cutter and then reassembled.
